Licences
We are one of the few places around who carries the new Connecticut Outdoors Licenses. Here is some information about these licenses.

NOTICE:

Do not be fooled by the tackle shops that do not have the offical CT Outdoors License Terminal. They use the online system which requires personal information and a credit card. The information you given to them will be stored in their computer and could be used for illegal activities. Stay safe and go to a place that does have the offical license terminal!

License Sales
If you are planning on getting a license, make sure you have the following with you...

Fishing License: Bring your CT Drivers License with you if possible. It will help the process move along faster.
Hunting Licenses: Bring last years Hunting License and your CT Drivers License. If you do not have your old Hunting License, bring your certification.

Licenses are strictly cash or you can pay by card with additional fees.

License Care
The new 2009 Connecticut Outdoors Licenses are a lot different from the old paper card licenses. These licenses are printed on what seems to be receipt paper. They are delicate and should be taken care of. They are printed on a special thermal paper which means you CANNOT hot laminate the license (cold laminate is fine). They cannot be copied in any form. Leaving licenses in a hot vehicle, direct sunlight, or an area prone to water will damage the license. The state provides unlimited reprints of your license for the year if something does happen to it, free of cost. To get a reprint, please bring your CT Drivers license back to Bob's Rod & Tackle and we can print you another copy. If you have any other questions, you can contact Connecticut DEP or Bob's Rod & Tackle.
